Dental Office October Focus is unscheduled treatment with benefits remaining. I include both restorative and hygiene patients in this review. Yet, I do print two separate reports.
My preference is to print the restorative and then the hygiene reports. And then to do a quick look through. What jumps out at me? Are these lists larger or smaller than last year at this time? Does it look clean? Are there patients on both lists? And why?
Review Unscheduled Treatment With Doc
The unscheduled restorative list is one I leave for the doc. And I attach a post it note letting the doc now just what I’m leaving them. “Unscheduled Restorative Treatment With Benefits”
I also attach two other post it notes. One that reads “Do treatment plans look correct?” Just in case there is anything that might need a bit of polish first.
The Dentist May Want to Reach Out
Then the second post it note says “Would you like to reach out to anyone first?” Because the dentist just may want to make a call or send a personal note themselves. Or the dentist may have questions about benefits. Maybe even why the patient isn’t scheduled.
Hygiene Schedule Outreach
Weekly Management Systems helps us keep our hygiene patients on the schedule. Yet, we still might uncover some surprises in a fresh list. Especially if there are patients with active periodontal treatment plans.
