The truth is that the majority of the restorative schedule is going to come from the dental hygiene schedule! The hygiene schedule is responsible for feeding the restorative schedule. Not to mention that the hygiene department has their own goals to meet! But, one schedule directly affects the other. And there are a few things for the dental administrative team to know and understand about hygiene procedures and schedule templates. Training new hygiene coordinators can be time consuming. And unless your practice has a specified training program, you might just miss something.
I have seen that the dental hygiene schedule is truly the most fluid schedule! And is like a live Tetris game of sorts. With pieces of the puzzle always moving around the board. Great customer service, and taking the time to get to know our patients, greatly improves our hygiene coordinator or administrative team member’s ability to fill open appointment times productively.
