Creating Dental Office Playbooks With Technology
Creating dental office playbooks is important. I think we all understand the why. But how many dental practices do. That’s the why we may want to really look at. And I think I know the answer. For at least some of the dental practices.
It’s a huge task! How do we take our entire business and put it in writing? If only we could! Our lives would truly be transformed. The dental practice might just become the place our team and our patients want to be!
Technology is the Key!
The key to build better playbooks is right before you today. In my quest to discover the best way for my clients, I found a fabulous technology for you all!
I tried it out myself. And that alone was so much fun! Honestly! You will enjoy building your dental office playbook. In fact, your entire team will love it!
The Business Playbook
This is a great book to read first! It will truly help you understand what goes into a business playbook. Also, this outlines the steps to take very nicely. And why to do it this way. From the expert!
An expert is what you want as you build your business. And dentists do just that. Not only do you care for patients, but you build a business too! So, all the experts you can get is a good thing. You’re welcome!
The Four Elements of a Playbook
Read the book before anything. Do this for yourself first. And then share it or parts of it with the team. Because the team builds the playbook. Especially if you love how the team does what it does now. Don’t want for an emergency to arise. Be prepared so there is no emergency.
And if you need some systems or training resources, it’s here for you. Grab what you need in e-books, courses, and videos here.
Creating Dental Office Playbooks Include:
- Profile: What’s your business about (brand, culture values, mission, vision & history. Who are you and who do you serve?)
- People: Who works in the practice. Include everyone. Who’s who and who does what.
- Policies: Define the operating rules – this is your employee handbook (dress code, vacation, legal compliance, etc)
- Process: How you do what you do (step-by-step, start-to-finish sequences)
Create a Successful Playbook
You won’t do it alone. This is a team effort. As you define roles and assign roles, you also assign responsibility within the playbook. Allow team members to share what they know. How they do what they do!
Otherwise, when team members leave they take their knowledge with them. This is knowledge gained under your employment. Under your leadership and training. And it’s about to walk out the door. Capture it and claim it now!
