Training new team members is a key consideration in dentistry.  And it’s important to be sure newbies understand our culture.  We must introduce ourselves, our mission, and our vision to our newest members.

Then there’s the processes.  How we do what we do. From answering phones to greeting patients.   To tray set-ups by procedure. Or even how to request a vacation day.

Dental Practice Team Training Evolves

Dental practice team training is more than one and done.  It’s an ongoing process for the successful dental practice.  To define and refine business systems is a team effort.

Grow your team and you grow your practice.  Not just in numbers.  Better yet, in skill and efficiency.   It may just be that your practice needs systems more than it needs new team members!

Does the team need additional training and support?  Or does the team require more hands to do the work?  Take a step back and look at your current systems of operation.  Do you have a documented tool that holds all your systems and processes.  Does your team work on this together?  And are the systems clearly defined and refined?

If the answer is no, then your answer is do that first!  Document all systems and processes.  And I highly recommend that you use a technology that is easily accessible and adaptable.
